About The Soda Shop

My Grandfather always wanted to own an ice cream parlor and I always wished that there was a real fifties-era diner in Columbus, Ohio.

In 2014 I decided it was time to bring the fabulous fifties to my hometown and The Sock Hop Soda Shop was born.  In the tradition of the soda shops of our youth my shop features the great food, music, clothes and fun that defined one of the greatest times in our country's history.

And in memory of my beloved Grandfather, I named my new truck Eddie so that he would always be with me as I scoop the tastiest ice cream treats and serve up the best Root Beer Floats in America.

At my diner I'm proud to serve only the finest foods including Velvet Ice Cream and novelties and Frostop Root Beer - the best Root Beer in America three years running.

We make each sandwich to order, hand-scoop and pour each and every float and work hard every day to make sure that all of our patrons have a wonderful and memorable dining experience.

So next time you're wishing back to the "Good Old Days", give me a call at i'll bring the Sock Hop right to your door.

That's me behind the wheel of my 1956 Ford Hot Rod
